“The Mime, is the most successful image because the mime is using a pose that connotes distress, and the position heightens our awareness that there is an unseen device creating the elongation of the neck and body. The image becomes a parody as well as a means of exploring self-destruction. The power of the stage, acting and Photography are conspiring to commit the act, though, and so the mime is a victim. This image embraces the mimetic ability of Photography to impart detail and fact as well as lend narrative and emotion. Very well done!”
